November Wrap Up

November was a big reading month for me. I finished up my goodreads challenge of 50 books this year, and I’m now just surpassing my goal with every book that I read! I didn’t buy that many books though – I’m travelling the world with work starting in the new year so I’m trying to make the switch to Kindle for the majority of books. I’m sad because I adore paperback books, but it just isn’t practical. Zero complaints on the travelling front though – trust me I’m counting my lucky stars!

Books Read in November:

  • King’s Cage – Victoria Aveyard. ★★★★ Yes, okay, this book is kinda teenage-angsty but I totally love reading this series so no shame. I thought this was the end of the series, but turns out there’s one more to go. Thank God.
  • Rosalind: A Biography of Shakespeare’s Immortal Heroine – Angela Thirlwell. ★★★★ A really interesting read, perfect for any Shakespeare fans. You can read my review here
  • Nod -Adrian Barnes. ★★★★ This had such an interesting concept, even if the ending was left open to interpretation!
  • The Girl in the Tower – Katherine Arden. ★★★★★ This was FANTASTIC, I fell in love with characters I never expected to, and all in all I loved it!! My review is here
  • William Shakespeare’s The Force Doth Awaken. Star Wars Part the Seventh – Ian Doescher ★★★★★ The perfect way to recap before the next film comes out – plus it’s fun and has some beautiful illustrations. My review is here
  • Necroscope – Brian Lumley ★★★★ This is a proper horror vampire series that started in the 1980’s – forget vampires you love, think vampires you fear, plus some other supernatural elements that I’ve not met before!
